Apologies for the incredibly low-quality photograph.

Nebo Studio is now a LLC! Time to pop open the champagne.
“The life of a designer is a life of fight.
Fight against the ugliness.
Just like a doctor fights against disease.
For us, the visual disease is what we have around,
and what we try to do is cure it somehow with design.”
—Massimo Vignelli
“Nebo? That’s a funny-sounding name. What does it mean?”

People ask me why I decided to start my own business. I attribute it to several things: 1) Graphic design is a passion, 2) I’ve always wanted to start my own company, 3) There are far too many designs out there that need to be tweaked with immediately.
Passion
Since I was young, I found myself looking at various design pieces and having lengthy internal discussions on why a different color would have produced better results. As well feeling irked when a red square did not line up perfectly with the photograph below. The internal monologues (and peevedness) continued throughout the years and then one day, I decided I wanted to do graphic design for a living.
Company
Flexible hours. Walking barefoot around the (home) office. Working with the cat attempting to sleep on top of the keyboard. Being my own boss. The list goes on and on…
Bad design
I want to help people understand why certain design structures or elements do not work, and assist them in finding better and more effective solutions for promoting their services and/or products. So, by combining the first two attributes, I hope to instill understanding and an increased appreciation of graphic design through one design piece at a time.
This is the philosophy of Nebo Studio.

We’ve developed three advertisements. Two will, hopefully, be used. The last one is mainly to show the design range of Nebo (as well to pay a small homage to the 80s in honor of Michael Jackson). Enjoy!

Hello and welcome to the blog of Nebo Studio!

Nebo Studio is in the process of becoming a LLC and this is only the beginning. There are already a few of us on board. So, please jump on-board the ship and join us in watching and experiencing the growth of our company.
Over time we will share a lot of things with you. Including but not limited to: who we are, the work we produce, what drives us to do the work we do, and our thoughts on art, design and everything in between. Not only that, we also hope to post about the ups and downs of setting up a company (Yes, there will be photos! And no, they probably won’t all be pretty).
Time to see what the kid’s made of.
